Two weeks after the final event of the 4-Hills-Tournament the ski jumpers came to Bischofshofen again. This weekend two Continentalcups take place on the Paul-Ausserleitner-hill. In the first competition two well-known names captured a double-victory for the Austrian hosts.

Manuel Fettner, who fell in the 4-Hills final in Bischofshofen and was sidelined since then, celebrated a clear win with outstanding jumps on 139 m and 136 m and 277.0 points. It was already his 13th win in the COC.

"This result doesn't mean that much to me, because my own expectations are higher than winning a Continental Cup. Of course I happy that I can jump again after my injury. I made the first jumps after the injury break on Thursday", told Fettner, who will take his time before he returns to the World Cup. "The next two events in the World Cup are ski flying competitions, that's not that good for me. That's why I'll compete in the Continental Cup in order to get in a good shape for the World Championships in February, that's a big goal for me now."

The second place went to his teammate Martin Koch, who participated in the Continental Cup for the first time since 2005, with 135 m and 133.5 m and a total of 259.8 points.

With 127.5 m, Marinus Kraus of Germany was ninth after the first round, but with a great jump on 136 m in the final round he moved up to third overall.

Only 16-year-old Youth-Olympic Champion Anze Lanisek of Slovenia came in fourth and once again proved his talent. Roberto Dellasega of Italy finished fifth and achieved his best result since the fourth place in Engelberg in December 2009.

David Unterberger was sixth and the third-best of a strong Austrian team, of which a total of 12 jumpers could qualify for the second round of the best 30.

Best of the Polish athletes was Jan Ziobro from Zakopane as seventh, with Jan Maylaender as eighth a second German jumper achieved a Top 10 result. His teammate Felix Schoft, third after the first round, lost his chances for yet another top result with his shorter jump in the final. He came in 13th.

Stefan Kraft of Austria is not competing in Bischofshofen, but could still defend his overall lead in the COC with 345 points. Felix Schoft is now second with 327 points, followed by Ole Marius Ingvaldsen of Norway (310 points).
