Venues in Val di Fiemme opened

The ski jumping season 2012/13 is in full swing and many exciting and interesting competitions took place already this winter. And so also this season's highlight, the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme are getting closer.

After the experiences at the test events in 2012 the various venues were now modified and completed. At the official inauguration the volunteers and the people of the region now had the chance to take a closer look at the facilites with guided tours.

 

Also in the ski jumping stadium in Predazzo, that was officially opened by Lorenzo Dellai, the president of the Province of Trento, and Maria Bosin, Mayor of Predazzo), everything is ready for the Championships in February. The VIP room with a glass-terrace is completed, the stands were renovated, there are new wax- and TV-containers and improvements were made on the hills and the main building. 

 

According to the organizer the facility in Predazzo now has everything to become a real center of ski jumping in Italy and also a training center for jumpers of all nations in Summer and Winter.

 

After the opening ceremony in Predazzo, everyone went to Lago di Tesero, the cross country center of the World Championships, and to Cavalese, where the conference center will be the working place for hundreds of journalists from all over the world.

 

Everything is now ready in Val di Fiemme, so the new World Champions in ski jumping, cross country skiing and in nordic combined can be crowned in about 70 days from now.
