The second Continental Cup event in Almaty ended with a unique result. In the second competition in Kazakhstan on Sunday, the exact same athletes as in the first event the day before finished on the first five places.
Austrian Stefan Kraft showed jumps on 131.5 m and 132 m and repeated Saturday's win with a total of 255.8 points. It was his fourth win in the COC.
The second place again went to Klemens Muranka of Poland, this time with 129.5 m and 133 m (252.0 points). David Zauner of Austria was close behind the young Pole also on Sunday, but with 250.1 points he could achieve his second Top 3 result in the COC.
The best two Norwegians this weekend closely missed the podium. Vegard Swensen came in fourth, 1.7 points behind Zauner, followed by his teammate Ole Marius Ingvaldsen.
After his disqualification on Saturday, Maximilian Mechler was the best of the German team as sixth on Sunday.
Behind the German, Cestmir Koziskek and Antonin Hajek achieved the best results for the Czech team at the opening weekend of the COC as seventh and eighth.

Thomas Diethart completed the strong team result of the Austrians as ninth and with Tomaz Naglic (10th) also a jumper from Slovenia reached to Top 10.
Stefan Kraft now leads in the overall ranking with 200 points, ahead of Klemens Muranka (160 points) and David Zauner (120 points).
