Teams for the season opening

The opening events of the FIS World Cup season are just around the corner, the athletes are getting ready and the various associations name their teams for this winter's first competitions.

Here are the first nominations for the season opening (list is updated):

 

Austria


Thomas Morgenstern, Gregor Schlierenzauer, Andreas Kofler, Martin Koch, Wolfgang Loitzl, Manuel Fettner, Michael Hayboeck. 

 

The same jumpers will also compete in Kuusamo a week later. The team will travel to Lillehammer already on Monday to make their first jumps on snow.

The team was nominated after a competition in Rovaniemi. It was won by Happonen, ahead of Asikainen and Estonian Kaarel Nurmsalu.
