At the World Championships in Oslo 2011 the Austrian ski jumpers won all four Gold medals. And Daniela Iraschko won Gold in the women's competition. The last four winners of the 4-Hills-Tournament came from Austria and this season the Austrian team already won a lot in the World Cup.
But the Austrians will not feel too secure, because also five other nations celebrated victories in the 17 individual competitions this season. The frist, who ended the Austrian streak was Germany's Richard Freitag, who was also second three times.
Top athletes from many countries
After that, Norwegian Anders Bardal, Slovenia's Robert Kranjec and Poland's Kamil Stoch won in the World Cup.

And it Sapporo it was the time of the Japanese. The "Air Nippon" hadn't won a competition for three years. Takanobu Okabe won on March 10th, 2009 in Kuopio. Back then the veteran was already 38 years old. In Sapporo Daiki Ito won twice, an important success for the fans and of course also for the coaches and officials.
And even more is possible: For example the Finns will be able to win again when, for example, Ville Larinto will be back. A victory of Roman Koudelka is only a matter of time. The strong Czech is jumping very consistent right now, he can be on top any time.
Austria: Not as many top jumpers as previously
So the Austrians shall be warned. They have three top stars with Andreas Kofler, Gregor Schlierenzauer and Thomas Morgenstern. But in the recent years they were stronger as a team. Wolfgang Loitzl, Martin Koch, Manuel Fettner, David Zauner and Michael Hayboeck could not show convincing performances so far this winter. Others took their place.
Norway and Slovenia top in the COC
And Austria is also not the top team in the COC. Among the Top 10 in the Continental Cup are still two Austrians. But the best teams are Norway and Slovenia. Both are having many good athletes.
