opprettet på: 17.03.2013 09:23 / km

The 2012/13 season of the Continental Cup ended on Sunday with another competition on the normal hill in Nizhny Tagil. Because the cooling system didn't work on both hills, the jury decided to make use of the ceramic track and so this season's final competition could be carried out in Russia.

The weekend in Nizhny Tagil was the weekend of Rok Justin. The Slovene, who celebrated his first win in the COC on Saturday, also showed a great performance on Sunday. With the longest jumps in both rounds on 98 m and 96 m and a total of 258.8 points he was also clearly the best in the second competition.

The second place went to Austrian Thomas Diethart, who was fifth after the first round with 94.5 m and earned his spot on the podium with 95 m in the final round and 249.0 points.

With Ilmir Hazetdinov a Russian was also among the best three in the second competition in Nizhny Tagil. The 21-year-old of Ufa moved up from seventh to third with his second jump on 95 m (246.0 points) and achieved a career best in the COC.

With only 0.5 points less than the Russian, Austrian Manuel Poppinger came in fourth and closely missed the podium with 96.5 m and 92.5 m. With Alexander Sardyko, second in Saturday's event, as fifth, another local hero could achieve a top result.

Behind Poland's Bartlomiej Klusek (6th), Florian Altenburger completed the very good result of the Austrian team as seventh.

Jan Ziobro moved up from 12th to eighth in the final round, and with Krzysztof Biegun, who shared the ninth place with the best German, Jan Maylaender, also three jumpers of Poland finished in the Top 10.
