The FIS-Cup is the third international competition series behind the World-Cup and the Continental-Cup and with this series young athletes the get chance to gain experience in international competitions. The overall winner (summer and winter competitions combined) is awarded the FIS Cup Trophy. 

Each National Ski Association has full responsibility for the qualification of its competitors for the competitions and for their ability to handle the jumping hills being used. 

Number of Participants for the National Ski Associations

- Each National Ski Association can enter a maximum of ten athletes. 
- the host nation has the right to enter an additional National Group of ten athletes
- the maximum starting quota of the host nation can therefore be 20, however, all other participating nations up to a maximum quota of ten athletes.
