BMI (Индекс массы тела)

The Body-Mass-Index formula - weight (kg) / height² (m²) - is used to determine the maximal ski-length for every athlete. Example An athlete is 1,80 m tall and weighs 65 kg. BMI: 65 / 1,80² = 20,06 The jumper's BMI is over the required limit and therefore he is allowed to use skis in the maximum length of 146 % of his height.

Example An athlete is 1,80 m tall and weighs 65 kg. BMI: 65 / 1,80² = 20,06 

According to the rules an athlete has to have a BMI of at least 21 (weight with suit and boots) in order to being allowed to use the maximum ski length of 145 % of his height.

If athlete does not have the required BMI of 21 he has to jump with shorter skis or is disqualified.

For the ladies, the required BMI to jump the maximum ski length is also 21.
