Schon 1989 wurde der Bau eines Skisprungzentrums in Bear Hollow bei Salt Lake City beschlossen und 1994 konnte dann die neue K90-Mattenschanze, sowie die vier kleineren Jugendschanzen eingeweiht werden. 

Für die Olympischen Spiele 2002 wurde dann die K90 renoviert und daneben eine K120-Schanze neu gebaut. Auf einer Höhe von 2237 m über NN sind die Schanzen im Utah Olympic Park die höchstgelegen Wettkampfschanzen der Welt. 

Die beiden Olympiaschanzen, sowie die 4 Trainingsschanzen sind mit ihren Plastikmatten die Haupttrainingsanlagen der US-Skisprung-Nationalmannschaft im Sommer und Winter und wurden nach den Olympischen Spielen 2002 auch noch bei Continentalcup-Springen eingesetzt.
