Anders Jacobsen underwent successful surgery

Anders Jacobsen, who fell in Planica in March and suffered an ACL rupture, now underwent surgery in Oslo.

The surgery was done by Lars Engebretsen in the Ulleval hospital in Oslo on Tuesday and was successful. The 28-year-old Norwegian already left the hospital again and returned back home.

"The surgery went well. It was a standard ACL surgery and no further damages were diagnosed during the operation", Engebretsen is quoted on skiforbundet.no.

Jacobsen, who was fifth in last season overall World Cup, will be able to start physical therapy soon, but he won't be able to start jumping again for months. "Normally it takes about six months before you can start again in a sport like ski jumping", the doctor said in a previous statement.
