With the first three official training rounds on the normal hill, the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme also started for the ski jumpers on Wednesday.
A very strong performance on the HS 106 in Predazzo was shown by Norwegian Anders Bardal. With the longest jump of the day on 106.5 m and 100.5 m, last winter's overall World Cup winner for the best in the first and third round.
Strong jumps on Wednesday evening were also shown by Dawid Kubacki and Kamil Stoch of Poland, Japanese Taku Takeuchi and Reruhi Shimizu and the Norwegians Andreas Stjernen and Anders Jacobsen.
Comeback of Thomas Morgenstern
Defending champion Thomas Morgenstern made his comeback today after a long competition break and was ninth and 13th, the Austrian didn't take part in the third training round.
The teams of Slovenia, Germany and France, as well as the three Austrians Gregor Schlierenzauer, Wolfgang Loitzl and Stefan Kraft did not jump yet on the first day of training on the Trampolino dal Ben.
