Already since last weekend many men's and women's team use the opportunity to train on the normal hill in Lillehammer. On Monday the inrun track on the normal hill should also be ready so training will also be possible on there.
One of the team, that are already in Lillehammer, are the Russians and they were waiting for the chance to jump on both hills. "Yesterday the inrun track of the normal hill was not perfect yet. Sunday evening and Monday morning they were working on it and now the track is great", Denis Kornilov said about the conditions on location.

The Austrian team also arrived in Lillehammer already and seizes the opportunity to make some training jumps before the opening events of the season. For Gregor Schlierenzauer, Andreas Kofler, Martin Koch and Manuel Fettner these were the first jumps on snow this winter. Thomas Morgenstern, Wolfgang Loitzl and Michael Hayboeck already trained under wintery conditions at home.
"These are the moments where the pure fun of ski jumping is the most important thing. Then you have the same feelings you had when you were fascinated by ski jumping as a little boy", Andreas Kofler said about his first jumps at the Lysgardsbakken.
