Norwegian women's team ends summer training

The two veterans Anette Sagen and Line Jahr represented Norway this summer in the FIS Grand Prix competitions and the two first ever mixed team events. For both of them the summer wasn't perfect. "The jumping started quite good in spring, but when the GP started it got really bad. Fortunately it went better in autumn and I was able to end the summer season in a good way in Trondheim", said Sagen.

It was similar for Line Jahr: "The start in spring was fine, then it went bad in August and September, now it's better again. All in all I'm pretty satisfied. According to Jahr, the results weren't that good because of the hard training in July where the focus was more on athletic training than on the jumping. "That had an impact on the feeling and the technical things."

In the upcoming winter Anette Sagen's main focus is on the World Cup, where she wants to establish herself in the Top 10 and achieve podium results. Line Jahr set her sights more on the World Championships in Val di Fiemme. "I want to fight for a medal in the individual competition and be part of the mixed team there."

For their young teammates Gyda Enger, Jenny Synnoeve Hagemoen and Maren Lundby, good results at the Junior World Championships and qualifying for the Nordic WSC are the main goals for the 2012/13 winter.
