COC-M: Wolfgang Loitzl wins again

After the Austrians already celebrated a double victory on Saturday, the were able to repeat this success also in the second Continental Cup competition in Predazzo, that was decided after only one round.

 

The victory again went to Wolfgang Loitzl, who seems to get in a better shape towards the end of the season. The veteran from Austria showed a jump on 136 m and won with a total of 139.8 points.

His teammate Lukas Mueller came in second with 132.5 m and 136.5 points.

 

The third place on the hill were the World Championships will be held next year, went to young Pole Bartlomiej Klusek with 131.5 m (135.2 points).

 

With 132 m and 135.1 points, Ziga Mandl of Slovenia missed the podium by only 0.1 points and finished fourth, just like on the day before.

 

The fifth place went to the best German, Felix Schoft, followed by Robert Johansson, who was again the best of the Norwegian team and tied for the sixth place with Czech Borek Sedlak.

 

Ole Marius Ingvaldsen of Norway was eighth, ahead of the by far best Swiss in the Continental Cup right now, Marco Grigoli. Young Pole Tomasz Byrt completed the Top 10 on the Trampolino dal Ben.

 

The top three jumpers in the overall ranking of the COC, Andreas Stjernen (1017 points), Michael Hayboeck (834 points) and Kenneth Gangnes (774 points), were not in Predazzo, they are all competing in the World Cup in Lahti this weekend.
