Next title for Kranjec and Dezman

After the great success at the ski flying World Championships in Vikersund and the the Junior World Championships in Erzurum, the Slovenian ski jumpers took part in a competition again on Wednesday.

 

The team competition that could not take place as part of the national Championships early February was now held in Kranj. Due to the increasing wind the competition was decided after one round only.

 

With a total of 479.6 points the victory clearly went to the local heroes of the SK Triglav Kranj I with ski flying World Champion Robert Kranjec, Junior World Champion Nejc Dezman, Rok Urbanc and Dejan Judez.

 

The second place went to the SSK Costella Ilirija (Matic Kramarsic, Andraz Pograjc, Ziga Mandl, Tim Babnik) with 441.6 points. SK Triglav kranj II (Gasper Vodan, Cene Prevc, Matic Plaznik, Matej Dobovsek) finished third with 419.2 points.

 

Seven Slovenes in Lahti

 

Because of the very good results recently Slovenia can take part in the last World Cup competitions this winter with seven athletes. The team for Lahti this weekend will consist of Robert Kranjec, Jurij Tepes, Jernej Damjan, Jure Sinkovec, Dejan Judez, Nejc Dezman and Jaka Hvala.
