For the first time team competition in women's ski jumping was held at the World Junior Championships. The first Gold medal in this event went to the favorites from Japan (968.0 points) with impressive performances in Erzurum.
The Japanese team, with their best athlete Junior World Champion Sara Takanashi, already had a clear lead after the first round. At half-time, the teams from Germany and Slovenia were second and third.
Team Japan then also dominated the final round. Germany and Slovenia could also defend their positions and won Silver and Bronze with 848.5 points and 823.5 points.
