The Ski Flying World Championships will take place without Austrian headcoach Alexander Pointner.
Because of a sickness of one of his children, Alexander Pointner will return home from Norway to Austria again on Thursday. So the head coach will not be present at the upcoming Ski Flying World Championships in Vikersund.
Alexander Pointner: "I was looking forward a lot to these World Championships. We are in the position that I had hoped for. But in the current situation it's important for me that I can be in Austria. I have complete trust in my team and the system we established over the last years. My assistant coach Alexander Diess, Ernst Vettori and the rest of the team will take over my tasks and I'm confident that we will see successful World Championships."
