COC-M: Next victory for Andreas Stjernen

After his successes on Friday and Saturday, Andreas Stjernen also won the third Continental Cup competition on the Midtstubakken in Oslo (NOR).

The Norwegian was third after the first round with 105 m and captured his third win a row with 105.5 m in the final and a total of 269.0 points.

Second, only one point behind, was Slovene Mitja Meznar, who showed two jumps on 105 m and was on the podium in the COC for the first time this winter.

 

Meznar's teammate Ziga Mandl moved up from ninth to third with a 105 m jump in the final (264.0 points).

 

Ole Marius Ingvaldsen of Norway was fourth, followed by Austrian Manuel Poppinger, who could not defend his lead after the first rond with 103.5 m in the final, and finished on a shared fifth place with Kenneth Gangnes (NOR).

 

Danny Queck was the best German also in the third competition in the Norwegian capitol. This time as seventh, ahead of the best of the Polish team, Stefan Hula.

 

Petr Chaadaev of Russia was ninth and achieved his best result in the Continental Cup since December 2004. Atle Pedersen Roensen (NOR) and Michael Hayboeck (AUT) completed the Top 10.

 

Andreas Stjernen leads in the COC overall ranking with 937 points. Michael Hayboeck is second (923 points), followed by Kenneth Gangnes (678 points).
