opprettet på: 11.02.2012 15:06 / km

Simon Ammann is back! The Swiss showed a great jump on 142 m in the qualification for Sunday's individual event in Willingen. The four time Olympic champion won the qualification with 136.6 points. A great start of the FIS Team Tour, that will continue in Klingenthal and Oberstdorf. The winning team will get 100 000 Euro.

Dimitri Vassiliev

The second place went to David Zauner (133.3 points), who really likes the hill in Willingen. 2010 he finished eighth here. Also Zauner's teammate Martin Koch showed a convincing performance as eighth. The best Norwegian, Rune Velta (127.1 points) was third. The Norwegian team showed a great performance again. Athletes of head coach Alex Stoeckl were also on the places nine, ten and eleven. The team is really in a great shape right now.

Vassiliev very strong

This also applies for Dimitri Vassiliev, for whom the training this week seems to pay off. Vassilievwas fourth, ahead of Poland's Piotr Zyla and Japanese Taku Takeuchi. Once again Peter Prevc was the best Slovene (8th).

Also good: Robert Kranjec (136.5 m), Andreas Kofler and Daiki Ito (both 135 m). Anders Bardal didn't jump in the qualification. Gregor Schlierenzauer is not in Willingen yet, he will start jumping here on Saturday. The Austrian takes a longer break after this strategy already worked well for him before the World Cups in Predazzo when he skipped the events in Sapporo.

Local hero Leyhe not qualified

The French team will not compete this weekend in Willingen. They try to get in shape for the last highlight of the season, the ski flying World Championships in Vikersund. Stephan Leyhe, the local hero from Willingen, who was told Friday morning that he will get the chance to compete on his home hill. Unfortunately the 20-year-old missed to qualify for the competition by only two to three points. The individual competition wil be held on Sunday at 2:15 pm CET.
