In a little bit more than two weeks, the ski flying World Championships will be held on the world's largest hill in Vikersund. Now the official song for the Championships with the title "Flying into the future" was presented.
Besides Joern Atle Stoea, who wrote the music for the song and now hopes that he will helpt to create a good atmoshpere among the spectators at the hill, also the successful Norwegian ski jumping team contributed to this project.
Lyrics by Alexander Stoeckl
The lyrics were written by head coach Alexander Stoeckl, who could not only celebrate successes in ski jumping, but also in music. For example as a member of the a-capella group Harry and the Nicknames, als producer or songwriter. The athletes are represented by world record holder Johan Remen Evensen, who is singing parts of the song.
In the music video historic jumps from Vikersund, for example of Ole Gunnar Fidjestoel, Andreas Goldberger, Bjoern Wirkola and Anders Jacobsen are shown.
