Like already in the first Continental Cup competition on Saturday, the young jumpers showed great performances also in the second event in Bischofshofen.
After the Gold medal at the Youth Olympic Winter Games and the very good fifth place on Saturday, only 15-year-old Slovene Anze Lanisek did even better this time and captured his first win in the COC with 140.5 m and 128.5 m (259.7 points).
The following two spots went to young Polish athletes: The two 17-year-old Aleksander Zniszczol (132.5 m and 129.5 m; 246.6 points) and Klemens Muranka (132 m and 129.5 m; 248.2 points) moved up to the podium in the final round from eighth and ninth after the first jump.
"I had two really good jumps today. Unfortunately the jumps are not consistent enough yet because then I would have also been able to achieve a better result yesterday", said Zniszczol and also his teammate was satisfied. "My two jumps were very good and I also had good conditions. I'm very satisfied with the third place."
Also Norwegian Robert Johansson, from 15 to four, and Lukas Mueller from Austria, from 19 to five, were able to improve their position with very good jumps in the second round.
The sixth place went to Jaka Hvala from Slovenia, followed by the winner of the first competition, Austrian Stefan Kraft.
