Norway's women's team announced
About a month after the men's team, now the Norwegian women's national team was announced as well.
The four athletes Anette Sagen, Line Jahr, Maren Lundby and Gyda Enger are on the women's team for the 2013/14 season.
Christian Meyer will remain head coach of the best Norwegians in women's ski jumping, new assistant coach is Per Elias Kalfoss.
The athletes are already looking forward to the new season, and of course to their Olympic premiere in Sochi. That applies especially to the veterans on the team, Anette Sagen and Line Jahr, who experienced the complete development of women's ski jumping.
Olympics are the main focus
"Jumping at Olympic Games for the first time is something very special. When you think back ten years, when we had almost nothing, it's nice to see what we achieved in a relatively short period of time", told Sagen. And her teammate Line Jahr agrees. "I'm looking forward to next season. We will be at the Olympics for the first time, this has been my dream since I was seven or eight years old."
Also the other two members of the team are already looking ahead to Sochi. "It's a big goal to compete at the Olympics, that's a big motivation. My goals this season is to jump well and qualify for the Olympic Games", said Gyda Enger. "I'm looking forward to the Olympic season. My goal for the Olympics is not a particular result, I just want to be as well prepared as possible", told Maren Lundby.
