The "Stoeckelschuh"
The 61st 4-Hills-Tournament is about sports on the highest level. But as usual at big sports events there are also a lot of side scenarios. The most popular one right now: The equipment of the Norwegians.
The term Stoeckelschuh (also German for high-heels) is the creative idea of a journalist. It's the boot resp. an insert in the boot that shall be an advantage for the Norwegian jumpers around 4-Hills-Tournament leader Anders Jacobsen. Nobody really knows if it really is.
This insert was invented by the head coach of the Norwegians, Alexander Stoeckl, an Austrian. Stoeckl developed this boot resp. the insert together with his father, Stoeckl senior.
So it was obvious and creativ name the whole thing "Stoeckelschuh". At the end it was also obvious that cartoonist Thomas Zipfel will put his pen to paper and perpetuates this issue.
How simple can it be. Starting with a small peace of plastic in the boot of a ski jumper.
Thanks Thomas
