David Zauner seriously injured
Once again bad luck with injuries for David Zauner. The Austrian suffered an ACL rupture for the second time in his career and will be sidelined for a couple of months.
At the Continental Cup in Almaty (KAZ) about ten days ago, where he finished third twice, Zauner complained about knee problems. Now the ACL rupture in his right knee was diagnosed in an MRI examination.
"That's annoying because I was just on the right way back to a good shape. It seems that it's not a new injury, but we haven't noticed it yet because I was not having any problems. Now I'll talk to my doctors, but probably I'll have to undergo surgery again", said Zauner.
For the 27-year-old, who already tore the ACL in his left knee two years ago, the 2012/13 season is already over now.
