Tom Hilde and Anders Fannemel Norwegian Champions
As a final test for the upcoming winter season, the Norwegian national Championships were held in Rena this weekend. The national champions on the normal- and large hill as well as in the team event were crowned there.
The new Norwegian champion on the normal hill is Tom Hilde. In an exciting competition on a very high level on Saturday, the 25-year-old won with two consistent jumps on 111 m and 110.5 m and a total of 280.5 points and celebrated his first title.
Only 1.5 points behind, Anders Fannemel captured the second place with 109 m and 111.5 m. The third place was shared by Anders Jacobsen and Andreas Stjernen with 275.0 points.
Anders Bardal set a new hill record in the second round with 116 m. At the end this performance earned the overall World Cup winner the fifth place.
"I'm very satisfied with Tom. He worked very hard this summer and is in a good shape now. Physically he is very strong", head coach Alexander Stoeckl told the Norwegian news agence NTB.
Anders Fannemel dominated Sunday's competition on the large hill. He won with the longest jump in both rounds, 136.5 m and 132 m, and 270.9 points. Rune Velta came in second with 134.5 m and 126.5 m (251.9 points), Anders Jacobsen was third once again with 249.7 points (134 m and 123 m).
Other titles to Sagen and Askershus
The women's competition was won by Anette Sagen with 239.0 points (97 m and 110 m), clearly ahead of Jenny Synnove Hagemoen (90 m / 97 m; 203.0 points) and Gyda Enger (82 m / 97.5 m; 186.0 points).
After the individual events, a team competition was held on Saturday. With 953.0 points the title went to Akershus with Kim Rene Elverum Sorsell, Simen Grimsrud, Espen Enger Halvorsen and Tom Hilde, followed by (Andreas Stjernen, Vegard Haukoe Sklett, Ole Marius Ingvaldsen, Anders Bardal; 943.0 points) and Buskerud (Mats Berggaard, Daniel Andre Tande, Knut Jokerud Strand, Anders Jacobsen; 858.5 points).
