Ups and Downs for the Norwegian B-Team
Especially Anders Jacobsen could show good performances this summer after his break from competitive sports. The former 4-Hills-Tournament winner was the best Norwegian in the Continental Cup as third in this summer's overall ranking.
Anders Jacobsen: Own expectations too high
"The results in the Summer Grand Prix competitions could have been better, but maybe I had too high expectations and that's why it didn't go that well. Now I have to learn from these mistakes, take it step by step and be patient. I think it will be better in time for the World Cup season. I just have to remember that I'm actually one year behind the others when it comes to technical and strength training. I have to continue working hard and hope that it pays off", Jacobsen said on skijumping.no.

After last season was a difficult one for Ole Marius Ingvaldsen he is now pretty satisfied with this summer. "I had good and bad competitions, but all in all it was my best summer, both in training and competitions."
The last months didn't go that well for his teammate Atle Pedersen Roensen. "My jumping was bad the whole summer. Physically it had ups and downs and at some point the energy level was very low, but now it's better again", told Roensen, whose goal it is to get a spot in the national group at the World Cup opening in Lillehammer. "After that everything from Norges Cup to World Cup is possible."
For Vegard Swensen it wasn't all good either. "We started to work on some technical things and since then there have been ups and downs in training and in the competitions. The physical training was good and working on the technical details started to pay off towards the end of the summer season."
Some members of the Norwegian B-team are still suffering from injuries and currently working to get fit again until the winter season. So Robert Johansson had to undergo surgery due to ankle surgery, can't train fully yet and only joined the team for the first part of this camp. But he is optimistic when it comes to the next winter season. "It doesn't need much before I'm back in my good shape from the end of last season", said Johansson. Also Kenneth Gangnes and Johan Martin Brandt are hoping for a fast comeback after their injuries.
Bardal wins Norges Cup
On Saturday a competition of the Norges Cup series took place in Tronheim. Anders Bardal won with 140 m and 123 m (253.1 points), followed by Anders Fannemel (130 m / 124 m; 240.4 points) and Espen Enger Halvorsen (123 m / 119.5 m; 218.2 points). The Summer Championships planned for Sunday, had to be cancelled due to the strong winds.
