COC-L: Another triumph for Austria
After the first round the two Austrian girls demonstrated once more that it won’t be easy to beat them in these days. Not with such a huge advantage of points like yesterday indeed, but Seifriedsberger and Iraschko managed to leave the other competitors behind very clearly.

Just before Daniela Iraschko's jump her head coach Harald Rodlauer decided to go one start gate down. Though having achieved a second place, Iraschko was not happy about the start gate that was chosen by the jury at the beginning of the competition: "If my coach hadn't decided to change the start gate, I would have done it. Maybe it would have been better for me not to jump at all. The start gate has to be in accordance with the best athletes's performance, but that was not the case here today. Competing at the Continentalcup is more difficult when you don't have the possibilty to include the wind and gate factor." With distances of 96.5 and 96.5 m (254.5 points) Iraschko made the fight for the victory become exciting, but she hat to admit defeat in the end.
Even if she understood why her teammate was so upset, Jacqueline Seifriedsberger got along with those conditions and was very happy about her victory: "Concerning the start gate I don't think that the jury's decision was that good. But I managed to handle it and for me it was the right start gate. I'm glad that I was able to show two good jumps. However, it was not okay that one athlete had to change the start gate", said today’s winner after having jumped 98 and 94.5 m (256 points).
With jumps of 92 and 88.5 m (223.5 points) the third place was taken by Anja Tepes from Slovenia. Yesterday she ranked third after the first round but missed to assure this position. Today she did better. Anyway, worth mentioning is the team performance of the whole Slovenian team whose five athletes managed to rank among the top 15.
This time it was the Canadian girl Atsuko Tanaka who had a promising starting position for the final round but could not keep up with today’s best three ladies. The competition ended for her on the sixth place ahead of her teammate Alexandria Pretorius who is jumping on a constant level since her victory at the Summer Grand Prix in Courchevel.
