Comeback of Ville Larinto

Ville Larinto will return to the World Cup this weekend at the competitions in his home town Lahti after two serious injuries and a break of more than a year.

 

Comeback after more than a year

 

The 21-year-old tore his ACL when he fell at the New Year's competition in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on January 1st, 2011, shortly after he returned to the hill he again suffered a serious knee injury in August 2011. Late January the doctors now gave the green light and the Finn could start with jumping training again.

Besides Larinto, head coach Pekka Niemelae also nominated Matti Hautamaeki, Olli Muotka, Janne Happonen and Anssi Koivuranta for the national team. Kalle Keituri, Sami Heiskanen and Sami Niemi will get the chance to participate in Lahti in the national group.
