CareerRomoeren made his debut in the FIS World Cup on March 3rd, 2001 with a 35th place on the Ski Flying hill in Oberstdorf ... on January 6th, 2003, he celebrated his first World Cup victory in Bischofshofen (AUT) ... a few weeks later, he achieved his first medal at a major event: team Bronze at the Worlds in Predazzo (ITA) ... 2004, he won team Gold at the Ski Flying World Championships in Planica (SLO) ... he was third in the overall World Cup 2003/04 ... 2005 he placed third with the team at the World Championships in Oberstdorf (GER) ... on March 20th, 2005, Romoeren jumped 239 m in Planica (SLO) and set a new ski flying world record ... 2006, the Norwegian team (including Romoeren) placed third at the Torino Olympic Winter Games and won Gold at the Ski Flying Worlds in Bad Mitterndorf (AUT) ... 2008, he fell badly in Predazzo but did get injured and he placed third with the team at the Ski Flying World Championships in Oberstdorf (GER) ... 2010, he was runner-up in the team event at the Ski Flying World Championships in Planica (SLO) ... at the World Championships in his hometown Oslo in 2011 he won silver in the team competition on the normal hill Career highlights> Team Gold medal winner at the 2004 and 2006 Ski Flying World Championships > Team Silver medal winner at the 2010 Ski Flying World Championships and at the Nordic World Championships 2011 > Team Bronze medal winner at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games > Team Bronze medal winner at the 2003 and 2005 Nordic World Championships and the 2008 Ski Flying World Championships Personal info> Made his first jumps at age 3 1/2 when he saw his elder brother Jan-Erik jumping > Is interested in nordic combined, alpine skiing, climbing, diving and tennis > Jumped with a broken arm in Lillehammer at age 12, surpassing 100 m for the first time in his life - he reached 115 m > Studies at the Norwegian School of Management > Lives in Hosle or in La Manga (ESP), where he like to play golf |
