The last weekend of the ladies' Continental Cup this season in Zakopane (POL) didn't have a good start. The training on Friday had to be cancelled due to the heavy snowfall.
But the competition on Saturday could take place as scheduled and like already so often this season the winner was Daniela Iraschko.
The Austrian, who already won the overall ranking of the Continental Cup, won with jumps of 90.5 m and 91.5 m and a total of 248.5 points. Ulrike Graessler from Germany was second with 230.0 points, Norwegian Anette Sagen finished third (211.0 points).
Daniela Iraschko: "It was a great season for me, I won so many competitions and the overall ranking. I was a little sad when I was watching the Olympics and we could not take part."
Ulrike Graessler: "It was also a good winter for me. I won three competitions and came in second overall. Now I will watch the team competition in Lahti and cross my fingers for the German team."
Anette Sagen: "Yes, it was the first time I couldn't win the COC, but it was a good winter. I started with a victory but the others were getting better and I was not at 100 %. That Bjoern Einar Romoeren jumped on the Holmenkollen first was only a media affair. I made the first official jump."
Daniela Iraschko also clearly won the final competition of the 2009/10 season on Sunday with 94 m and 91.5 m (257.5 points).
Ulrike Graessler was second again with 230.0 points, followed by Eva Logar from Slovenia (222.5 points).
Daniela Iraschko: "I'm very impressed by the good organization here in Zakopane. But I would have preferred to jump a little farther, on the large hill. Next season we will compete in a World Cup for the first time. I think Anette Sagen will be my main rival."
Eva Logar: "I'm very happy that I can stand on the podium. The third place is my best result of the winter."
