Since his world record jump on 246.5 m in Vikersund last winter at the latest, the 26-year-old is one of the stars of ski jumping. Author Martin Larson worked with Evensen for a couple of years and after the historic day at the Vikersundbakken he decided to write this book.

In this book, the reader gets interesting insights in the life of the world record holder, for example about the time when he was in a wheelchair after a serious fall at age 16, and his way back to competitive sports.
Of course Johan Remen Evensen also tells about the ski flying in Vikersund in February 2011 and his jump on the current world record in the qualification. "When I was sitting on the starting bar before it I was still shaking a bit, I had set a world record already in the previous jump. Then the light went green, Mika gave me the signal with the flag. I started and it was the "point of no return".

Right now the book with the title "Flygeren" is only available in Norwegian, maybe it will also published in English in the future.
