Vegard Swensen makes first jump in Vikersund

24-year-old Vegard Swensen from the Asker Skiklub made the first jump on the new Vikersundbakken on Wednesday. Swensen landed already after 162 m.

He was proud that he chosen to be the first to jump on the world's largest hill. "Actually I was not nervous. But it was very exciting. You can see the whole town from up there", he told after the premiere.
Vilberg with longest jump
After Swensen more athletes jumped on the Vikersundbakken. The longest jump of the day was shown by Norwegian Andreas Vilberg with 218 m.
On Thursday there another day of test jumping in Vikersund. The qualification on Friday starts at 6:15 pm CET.
