World Cup (Men)

The World-Cup was introduced in the season 1979/80. All the individual competition results of the winter go into the overall ranking. This title is one of the most prestigious in skijumping and for some athletes its worth is higher than a gold medal at World-Championships or Olympics because in order to win you have to perform well the whole season.
Allowed to start in the World Cup are athletes who:
The points of all individual competitions of the current season will be counted for the overall winner. If two or more competitors have the same number of points at the final evaluation, the order will be determined according to the highest number of individual victories resp. according to the successive ranks in FIS World Cup events. If the competitors are still equal, the starting order will be drawn.
